MCP vice president, minister of Transport Sidik Mia and Minister of Local Government Mr Lingson Belekanyama have both died this morning succumbing to Covid-19.
Mia announced on the social media a few days ago that he had tested positive to Covid-19.
Mia, 56, passed on at Queens Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.
Belekanyama died in Lilongwe and will be burried today in his Msinja South constituency where he has diligently served for over 20 years as a loyal and dedicated Member of Parliament.
