Lilongwe based gospel chorale The Great Angels is making noise in the media with their spirit uplifting ballad entitled Mzayahweh.
Mzayahweh, meaning they belong to God, was released late last year. Since it dropped into the public domain, the song has been among the most played tunes on local media channels.
The message in Mzayahweh underlines that all the blessings that are bestowed upon us belong to God. As such, those who will try to fight God’s blessings will not succeed because the owner is mighty.
Mzayahweh comes off the group’s 5th album called “Ufumu Umodzi Suukilani.” The collection was delivered six years after the group’s album-drought.
The choir rose to fame around 2008. It is one of the country’s gigantic gospel music groups. It’s other albums are Ndiyende Bwanji?, Mundifungatire, Mwasankha ine and Gwireni Dzanja.
Meanwhile, Mzayahweh has over 4000 views on YouTube. According to some analysts, this is a fair record for a local gospel music group. On daily basis, the song enjoys countless airplays on both television and radio stations.
