The Malawi Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima had this morning in Lilongwe walked 16 Kilometres from Bunda Turn off to Gateway Mall.
This big walk was in support of 10 young men and women who walked from Blantyre to Lilongwe to raise funds to train tourism Tour Guides across the country.
This visionary team has currently managed to raise K7.5 million. VP Chilima said, “I have since pledged that I will help them raise an extra K2.5 million by Friday. I have also appealed to TNM, the premier sponsor for the ‘big walkers’ to consider raising their K2 million contribution”.
Most people across various social media platforms have commended the fundraisers and mentioned that tourism is a very important sector which can propel our country to great developmental heights.
