Malawi mourns Flo Dee

A dark cloud has engulfed Malawi music industry following the untimely demise of one of the promising musicians Flo Dee.
The female rapper died on Thursday in the lakeshore district of Mangochi, after a short illness.
Meanwhile, tributes are pouring in for the fallen artist. Malawians have described the loss as a bitter pill to swallow.
“Great talent gone too soon. This is a huge blow to our music industry. May the heavens accommodate with that comforting warmth,” said Aliko Kafuwa
Renowned musicians Hazel Mak and Bucci among others, have also shed tears over the loss. They have described her death as a source of heartbreak.
Flo Dee whose real name was Florida Chinyumba, was famed for her hit single entitled Mphete which features Bucci. After showing potential of taking local urban music by storm, she went into hibernation until her death.
