The Malawi Government has announced that the country’s borders will be closed for two weeks due to the huge increase of Covid-19 cases. The minister of information Gospel Kazako confirmed this latest development.
The Presidential Task Force for Covid-19 had earlier advised in the press conference that only Malawian citizens returning home will be allowed entry into the country.
The new preventive measures include only less than 100 people being allowed in a public gathering.
This is also in the wake of the new strain of the Covid-19 virus which has emerged in many countries and as near as South Africa.
