Malawi national football team the Flames have made history having qualified for the knockout stages of the African Cup of Nations.
The Flames have made it to the last 16 as best losers, thanks to a victory against Zimbabwe and a draw against Senegal in the group stages.
The victory means Malawi has set up a knockout phase crash against North African giants Morocco.
Malawi made a slow start to the campaign having lost the first game against Guinea by a goal to nil. The second game favoured the Marinica charges as they beat Zimbabwe by two goals to one.
Spoils were shared in the last group game against Africa`s top ranked side Senegal. The results left Malawi in third position with four points.
Meanwhile, there is excitement at home following the historic qualification. Malawians on social media are celebrating in numbers.
