Malawian soccer starlet Peter Banda was all smiles as he scored his first league goal
for Moldovan side Sheriff Tirraspol.
The former Griffin Youngsters and Bullets striker`s strike inspired his side to a 6-0 demolition of Floresti to maintain a tight grip at the top of the table.
Sheriff is at the top of the 10 team table with 70 points from 25 games. They are leading in the tournament with 9 points.
The European Club has another Malawian player in the name of Charles Petro. The defender was the first from Malawi to join the club.
Peter and Petro have risen through the ranks to be sources of pride for Malawi. They were all
playing for Bullets before joining the European club.
