Bloemfontein Celtic have promoted the former flames forward John Maduka to head coach and moved Abraham Nteo to the position of assistant coach.

This has happened after Lehlohonolo Seema resigned to replace Rhulani Mokwena as Chippa United’s new head coach.

Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco confirmed the new coaching arrangement at the club.

“John Maduka will remain the head coach, he has always been a co-coach in the club,” Konco said. “Abram Nteo will serve as his assistant coach.”

Konco declined to discuss the departure of Seema and only wished him all the best in his future endeavours.

Maduka hanged up his boots at Celtic in 2009 after a five year service to the club. He also had earlier played for Bush Bucks from 1997 to 2003 and scored 33 goals.
