Malawians living in UK and Malawi have set up airfreight forwarding services operating under the firm called Green Corner, a holding company registered both in UK and Malawi in 2018 with three directors; Musa Chinguwo, Sutene Chinguwo (UK based) and Mr Yamikani Chinguwo who is Malawi based.
When spoken to Low Profile Malawi Musa Chinguwo said, “our main objective is to assist people to quickly ship and receive their items without waiting for many months before they get their stuff due to poor shipping services”. He further said that their services are very good for other small business firms that depend on sourcing stock from abroad in addition to individuals who would like to send essential goods to their families back in Malawi.
Green Corner is offering very unique services as they also assist customers in Malawi to buy items from UK online shops, send them to their UK offices, they then pack and deliver them to their recipients within 7 days. They also buy German car spare parts from several car spare parts dealers in Germany such as Audi, Mercedes, BMW and VW.
Business Consultancy is another service on the menu as Green Corner provides consultancy services for UK Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) with finance & accountancy services for example registration of UK limited company with the Companies house, HMRC (revenue) accounts submission, VAT registration & submission, advice on Information Security Management, Risk, Regulation & Compliance (PCI-DSS, ISO/IEC standards).
As Green Corner strives to keep Malawi green, they also assist in supplying agricultural products in bulk (large quantities) such as maize, beans, groundnuts and rice grown in Malawi to major worldwide markets in Europe, America and the Middle East.
Green Corner operates from their offices in UK (Nottingham and London Heathrow) while in Malawi they are in Lilongwe, Nasaha House opposite Lilongwe DC Office and in Blantyre they are based in Dossani House, 2nd floor, opposite PEP shop.
